Fashion Fair makeup review
Fashion Fair has usually been round in my existence as some distance back as I can keep in mind. Growing up in any ethnic domestic in the 80s each person's mum used Fashion Fair make-up or skin care; you could not pass over the intense pink packaging that stood out a mile. As such I'd placed the emblem inside the "merchandise mums use bin" and never as soon as attempted it myself.
The largest black-owned cosmetics company, Fashion Fair changed into commenced by Eunice Johnson in 1958 after noticing that fashions of color needed to mix and blend diverse sunglasses of basis to acquire the right shade for their skin tones. After coming near several hooked up manufacturers to increase their shade picks – which became met with resistance – Eunice went to a private cosmetics lab and started out to expand her own range. Over forty years later, it's far nevertheless broadly regarded as a 'pioneering' cosmetics variety for black ladies and in 2008 it rebranded with an on-trend look.

When the 'Carnival' collection press release hit my inbox, after to start with dismissing it, I concept it is able to be the proper opportunity to give the cult logo a chance and I booked in for a Fashion Fair makeover.
I arrived at their make-up counter in Debenhams in which I become taken through the entire range and the primary factor I noticed was even though the packaging had changed, the mild perfume and signature colors were welcoming and acquainted.
Most PopularFor Spring/Summer 2015, their collection echoes the spirit of summer season inside the town. The array of vibrant colorings, centering on metal golds, are inspired with the aid of the sunkissed Caribbean and the way of life inside. There are 6 playful eye shadows and six glamorous lipsticks which can be used together with the rules, concealers and pressed powders throughout the variety.
The foundations and concealers
Starting with the bottom, I was informed by means of the adorable makeup artist Sara that there is no manner to buy a 'ideal' foundation or concealer coloration as each one has unique undertones and the excellent way is the old manner; to mix. These are the base alternatives:

The new eyes and lips
The eye shadow choice changed into top notch as the colours had very sturdy pigments and looked clearly formidable on. The new summery sunglasses are Touch of Gold, Sahara Sand, Safari Brown, Ocean, Indigo and Amethyst.
For my lips I tried the brand new brilliant colorings Divine Pink, Ole Orange, Royal Orchid, Grapesicle, Sepia and Confidance. Though those are all adorable sun shades, I opt for a matte end so I ended up choosing a lipstick from the principle variety called Rebel.
Verdict
The variety has come on leaps and limits because the 80s however I sense like a lot more paintings wishes to be executed for Fashion Fair to repair itself as 'THE make-up for ladies of shade' as the software strategies appear dated to me. I recognize the concept of "if it aint broke, why repair it" but in 2015, the concept of using two or greater foundations to get the proper coloration for every day wear is arduous! It made me feel like my make-up changed into caked even though the formulas aren't heavy or greasy on application.
The marketplace for black ladies is now very aggressive, as almost ALL make-up manufacturers each high quit and excessive avenue have extended their stages to cowl this off. If Fashion Fair is to live relevant, it needs some other picture overhaul. This need to no longer dispose of from how precise the goods presented are or their composition, however having lost contact with an entire generation they need to carry logo attention again to us. Let's wish they do!
